The Prospect Park Zoo is set to reopen Memorial Day weekend, eight months after the remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia wreaked havoc on the facility. “This was completely submerged, completely lost," said Craig Piper, vice president and director of city zoos for the Wildlife Conservation Society. A brand new skatepark is coming down the pipe — half-pipe, that is. “It’s gonna cement New York’s status as the greatest skate place on the East Coast,” Theo Williams, a longtime skateboarder, said.
