Fort Collins has a plan for expanding its transit system, including more bus rapid transit, higher frequency, expanded coverage and more regional routes, but it doesn't have the funding to pull it off. To build out its Transit Master Plan while operating at 2019 service levels, the city will need an additional $13 million annually. And that includes the $5 million of revenue coming from the sales tax approved in 2023 that funds transportation, climate initiatives, and parks and recreation.

Three proposed scenarios for optimizing the Transfort system are being considered. Public input is being sought through a survey and public events. All fireworks, even those that don't leave the ground, are illegal in Fort Collins. Fort Collins has updated its fireworks ordinance, making it easier for police to issue citations. Other cities and towns nearby do allow some fireworks that don't leave the ground or explode. This Fourth of July, it'll be easier for Fort Collins police to issue citations for setting off fireworks, all of which are all illegal in the city.

The defense argued the city unnecessarily escalated repair efforts after a complaint. The judge ruled the city's efforts to fully restore the wall were reasonable and justified the restitution amount.
