A new otherworldly dining destination has washed ashore in the West Adams neighborhood. Cento Raw Bar, a restaurant by the team behind neighboring Cento Pasta Bar, opens on May 12, serving seafood towers, crudos, and caviar sandwiches. The restaurant comes from chef Avner Levi, partner Adrien D’attellis, and creative director Brandon Miradi; Avner’s first restaurant, Cento Pasta Bar, opened in December 2021 after a long-running tenure as a pop-up at Downtown’s Mignon Wine Bar.

Born from the nation’s obsession with beef coupled with the modern highway system, the humble burger can be high-end or low — grabbed quickly via drive-thru or sought out as a destination. Here’s Looking at You will close on June 16 after almost a decade on Sixth Street in Koreatown. The restaurant, opened by the late chef Jonathan Whitener and Lien Ta, has occupied its corner of Los Angeles since 2016, serving an ever-evolving menu of cross-cultural dishes like uni panna cotta and salsa-negra-crusted frogs’ legs alongside an inventive cocktail program to match. Ta announced the closure in an Instagram post on May 6, which reads, “We have closed this restaurant a few painful times.

West LA’s West Edge, a mixed-use residential and retail destination, will be home to two exciting new restaurants in 2026: Shawarma pop-up Miya Miya, a Smorgasburg favorite, will open its first permanent location, while KinKan’s chef-owner Nan Yimcharoen is slated to open a second location of her restaurant in the development, too. West Edge, which debuted in 2023 on the corner of Olympic and Bundy, is currently home to Gelson’s, Taiwanese tea shop Presotea, Clean Juice, and other retailers.
