(WAVY) — In the historic Phoebus section of Hampton, there’s apprehension the 1960s era Medicaid program is on the DOGE chopping block. “The cuts to Medicaid are going to have a disastrous effect on veterans,” said James Glenn, a member of the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents thousands of the nation’s federal workers.
