    The city of Greenville says it is looking to reimagine the future of one of its busiest roads as part of a new study that will be funded as part of its upcoming budget. Council Member Wil Brasington said Pleasantburg Drive will be the city's highest priority road for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. "This study would roughly start at Cherrydale and run the entire four-plus miles of Pleasantburg Drive as it goes through the city," Brasington said.

    Work continues to clean up Lake Lure nearly eight months after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of western North Carolina.
