    TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — The National Weather Service is offering free storm spotter training here in Oklahoma. They say the volunteers they train play a vital role in keeping communities safe and informed. Karen Hatfield with the National Weather Service here in Tulsa says they hold these trainings in Oklahoma from the end of January through the beginning of April to get these volunteers trained in time for the heart of severe weather season.
