ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- We have a sad update to a story we first brought you back in 2023. A young man from Allentown who needed a heart transplant has died. When we first introduced you to Natacha Rodriguez and the story of her son Larry Odom, it was through an interview in front of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was being treated. "My plan is to be with my son until he gets his heart. Like I'm not going to give up on him," said Rodriguez in October of 2023.

S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -- A 45-year-old man has been pronounced dead after getting involved in an incident with police at a grocery store. It happened in the Weis Market in the 1500 block of Cedar Crest Blvd. in South Whitehall Township Sunday afternoon. Several police cars were parked in front of the doorway Sunday, but on Monday the scene was back to normal. WFMZ-TV spoke with Paul Stadinger as he was heading in to pick-up groceries.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown's Harrison Morton Middle School started its first-ever all-girls soccer team this year, and on Saturday, they put their skills on display against girls from Raub, Trexler, and South Mountain middle schools. On the field at J. Birney Crum Stadium, it looked like they've been playing together for years, but in reality, the girls just became a team a few months ago. "It's going great.

L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - Two Lehigh County parents were in court Wednesday, accused of starving and abusing two of their 15-year-old sons. The judge decided to throw out two of the charges, but the most serious charges are still on the table. Tracy and Joshua Dechant left through the back door of the courthouse after their hearing. They are now facing 12 charges, including 8 felonies... including the most serious charge of conspiracy to commit 3rd degree murder.

L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - Two parents accused of abusing two of their teenage children are facing a judge Wednesday in Lehigh County. The alleged abuse was first discovered back in January in Lower Macungie Township. So far this Wednesday we heard from a neighbor to the family, a social worker who interviewed the two 15-year-old boys, and a doctor who treated them.
