The Niagara IceDogs punched their ticket to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playoffs, picking up a point in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kingston Frontenacs. That combined with Ottawa’s 5-2 loss to North Bay meant the IceDogs were into the postseason for the first time since 2019.

With that being said the Jackfish have released their 2025 Promotional Schedule beginning with Opening Night presented by CAA Niagara as the Fish take on the Barrie Baycats, and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a replica jersey.

On Saturday the Badgers women captured their second straight USports National title (12th overall), while the Brock men won silver.

Playoff hockey for the junior clubs across the region. We’ll start at the top with the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and the Niagara IceDogs. And despite currently being mired in a 12-game losing streak, the IceDogs sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 10 games left in the regular season.

The lacrosse defender, and captain of the National Lacrosse League Buffalo Bandits, won his second straight NLL Championship, then followed that up with a Mann Cup Championship (Canadian Senior A) with the Six Nations Chiefs.
