ALBANY — Federal officials offered preliminary details of their investigation Monday afternoon into the plane crash that killed six people in Columbia County over the weekend. A Mitsubishi MU-2B-40 crashed into a field near State Route 23 and Two Town Road in Copake in eastern Columbia County just after noon on Saturday. No one on board survived the crash.

MIDDLETOWN - When Tropical Storm Irene hit the Catskill Mountains in August 2011, the east branch of the Delaware River surged from its banks, pushing 4.5 feet of water into the streets and buildings of Margaretville in Delaware County. Local firefighters managed to steer a ladder truck onto Main Street, where they rescued residents from the second stories of their homes as the waters raged around them.
