Chris Welch,45, owns the Aviator Cookie Company, located at 230 E. Main Street in downtown Midland, between Heather & Holly and Pizza Baker. Welch said, “We bake all of our cookies in here, scratch made, no added preservatives, and when you buy our cookies, it’s made fresh that day.”Aviator offers 14 flavors at all times and they add, in and out, three more creative flavors every two weeks. The business also does special orders, which have varied so far from one cookie to 5,000 cookies.

Cheryl Wade,69, lives in Midland, with her cat, Sam-Sam, a 11-year-old Tabby mix. Cheryl’s a Saginaw Arthur Hill High School graduate. Wade attended Saginaw Valley for a year before attending CMU for three years, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism. Cheryl later earned a master’s in rehabilitation counseling and disability studies at Michigan State. She said, “I love Michigan State.

Amadeus Bartosek, 35, owns Flynn’s Computer Repair, located in the Midland Mall. His shop is close to the mall entrance by Alex’s Railside Restaurant. Flynn’s provides sales and service for all your electronic needs including small electronics: mobile devices (phones & tablets), video game consoles, and laptops; and bigger electronics: desktops, servers, and networks; and retro electronics.  Flynn’s builds custom desktops. They also do board level repairs on audio and video equipment.

Scott Berry, 47, lives in Midland. He was married just two weeks ago to Sarah Van Tol. She’s an artist and owns the Village Glass Works in Auburn. They met through her dad, Steve Van Tol, when Steve and Scott served as district governors for the Lions Club. Scott ‘s district served Macomb and Oakland Counties at the time, and Steve’s district covered Bay, Saginaw, and Genesee Counties. Sarah and Scott have two cats, Willow and Dora.

Kevin LaDuke, 33,lives in Midland with his girlfriend, Jessica McDaniels. They’ve been together for two and a half years. She’s an accountant with Quast Janke & Co CPA’s in Bay City. They met while she was working at WhichCraft in downtown Midland. The couple has a Calico cat named Pebbles. Kevin’s a graduate of Beaverton High School. He earned an associate’s degree in electronic media broadcasting from Delta College, and he received certificates in film and creative writing.
