    Police say the man was found unresponsive this evening. Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead on a Kilmarnock street this evening. Emergency services raced to a report of an unresponsive man on Orchard Street in the town at 5.25pm. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Senior investigators say the man's death is currently being treated as unexplained. Police will now remain at the scene this evening and into tomorrow.

    Emergency services have closed down a road in the town. Police have shut down a Kilmarnock street tonight amid reports of a serious incident. Eye-witnesses report that at least seven police vehicles and two ambulances have descended on Orchard Street, just off Dean Street this evening. Police have put in place a huge cordon at the scene with part of a footpath at Dean Lane (A735), down from Black's Bar, has also been taped off by officers. Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
