    The schoolgirl has been rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. An Ayrshire road remains closed this evening after a car and an 11-year-old girl were involved in a crash. Emergency services were scrambled to Middleton Road in Irvine at around 5pm. Police say that the youngster has been rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment. The extent of the schoolgirl's injuries have not been disclosed by officials. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.

    The woman hit by the motor has been left in a serious condition in hospital. A woman has been left in a serious condition in hospital after a car ploughed into a pedestrian outside a busy Ayr bar. Emergency services scrambled to Rabbie's Bar on Burns Statue Square just after 9pm last night to a report of a hit and run. Officials say that the injured woman was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and her condition is described as serious but stable.

    The youngster from East Kilbride has died after being seriously injured at the beauty spot. A teenager has died following a disturbance on Irvine beach yesterday evening. Emergency services raced to the Ayrshire beauty-spot at around 6.45pm where the 16-year-old was found seriously injured. Officials have confirmed that the youngster died earlier today as a result of his injuries. The teenager's family is aware and a report is due to be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

    The big top circus tent won't be returning to town this year. Kilmarnock's annual pantomime will be held in the Galleon this year. Sleeping Beauty will be performed in the leisure centre as renovation work continues on the Palace Theatre. Last year's festive show was held at a big top tent at Ayrshire Athletics Arena. The giant circus tent was ripped down during a red weather warning sparked by Storm Eowyn in January this year.
