FOX 40 reporter Rowena Shaddox reached out to the Elk Grove Unified School District Monday after receiving a copy of the material, which imitates paper money with a racist slur written across the top, an offensive rendering of an African-American man in the center, and more derogatory comments on the sides.

(FOX40.COM) — The site of a former chain restaurant in Sacramento was destroyed in a fire Sunday. Sacramento Metro Fire said that when crews arrived at the building, located on Fair Oaks Boulevard in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood, they found “heavy fire conditions.”“Anytime we have an old restaurant, there’s a lot of material still in there,” said Battalion Chief Chris Vestal. According to the fire department, the building is a total loss.

Detectives identified 39-year-old Michael Diego as a suspect. Diego is the estranged husband of the female victim. Diego was taken into custody at a local hospital this evening. Once medically cleared, he will be transported to the Main Jail and booked on two counts of Murder
