This latest batch of 100 brings the total number of locations shutting their doors at around 700 throughout the United States, approximately half of the 1,240 retail stores that will be listed for sale. Rite Aid first filed for bankruptcy restructuring in 2023, after the Philadelphia-based company had been struggling with losses for years. This time around it doubled down, citing its “only viable path forward” was a return to Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

UNION CITY, NJ — A 26-year-old Middle School teacher is facing charges after he sent sexually explicit material to a minor he met online gaming, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez. Juan Sanchez Moya, of Union City, is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the first and third degree as well as Distributing Obscene Material to a Person Under 18, a crime of the third degree. Moya, a West New York Middle School teacher, was arrested at his home Tuesday.

NEW JERSEY — The deadline for New Jersey travelers to get a REAL ID has arrived and for those who were not able to secure the new way to fly domestically, options to prove who you are in order to take flights within the United States still remain. There is a list of other accepted forms of identification for domestic travel, including a valid U.S. passport. Residents could also apply for a U.S. passport card, which provides proof of citizenship and identity.
