Days after releasing the results, the outside company hired to audit the Canton Police Department presented its findings. The company, 5 Stones Intelligence, was brought in after residents voted 903-800 to audit the department amid backlash over how it handled the investigation into Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe's death. The 200-page report was released Tuesday as jury selection got underway in the retrial against O'Keefe's girlfriend, Karen Read, who is charged with his murder.

Massachusetts' police oversight agency is moving to revoke the law enforcement credentials of the former acting chief in Lawrence. In an "order to show cause" document the NBC10 Boston Investigators obtained, the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission said it has evidence to show William Castro is not fit for duty as a police officer and is a danger to the public.

Jeff Klein walked us through the basement of his home in Boston's Brighton neighborhood and pointed to what will eventually be a bathroom and a kitchen in the renovated space. His gaze fixated on a large pile of dirt, and he joked it will serve as a nice coffee table while watching TV. It is not exactly how Klein and his wife, Rachel Shuler, envisioned decorating the basement more than a year after construction began. "I feel anger and rage when I'm down here," Klein said.

The Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE, claims on its website the agency has saved over $600 million in taxpayer funds by just terminating leases used by federal agencies. However, the NBC10 Investigators found DOGE has listed inaccurate information about which properties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire have actually had lease contracts cancelled.
