A woman has died over a week after being critically injured in a Franklin, Massachusetts, car crash that killed her daughter and also injured her son, officials said. The first weekend closure for bridge replacement work on the Massachusetts Turnpike at the Interstate 95 interchange near the Newton-Weston border was completed on time, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said in an update Monday. A man has been sentenced to two years in prison for his role in a high-end brothel network that operated out of the Boston and D.C. areas, the U.S. Attorney's Office for Massachusetts said Thursday. James Lee, 70, of Torrance, Calif., was the final suspect sentenced for his work in the network. He was also sentenced for fraud after claiming $580,000 in COVID-19 relief funds. Fans are still awaiting answers after superstar singer Shakira's concert at Boston's Fenway Park was canceled last-minute Thursday. The Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn show scheduled for Friday was also canceled. A statement from Live Nation read: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Shakira and Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn performances originally scheduled for May 29th and May 30th respectively at Fenway Park have been canceled.
