Leader Thune and Speaker Johnson say they're committed to finding $1.5 trillion in savings through reconciliation. Thune says there's "a lot" of Senators who "believe that is a minimum." A number of House budget holdouts wanted commitments from Senate leadership publicly.

After a vote was held open for about 80 minutes a separate bill, Speaker Johnson says a vote on the budget resolution will likely happen TOMORROW. Johnson met with holdouts off the floor for about an hour. Appears they still don’t have the votes.

VIBE CHECK! The vote has now been open for over 45 minutes while holdouts on the budget resolution have been meeting with Speaker Johnson. Some Democrats have called for order every once in a while, but everyone seems to just be playing the waiting game.

Freedom Caucus members and budget resolution holdouts now meeting with Speaker Johnson behind closed doors off the House floor. Johnson said earlier President Trump was willing to make phone calls to get holdouts on board with the resolution.

Rep. Mike Turner voted NO on the rule because of the provision blocking the House form taking up a resolution to terminate the emergency declaration President Trump used to implement his tariffs, per source. He will vote YES on the budget resolution's final passage.

A group of conservative House members are putting together a list of terms they want Senate leadership to agree to on the record publicly on the budget resolution. This comes as a number of House Republicans are either undecided or a NO on the resolution over spending concerns.

Mike Turner was the third Republican to vote NO on the rule containing the Senate Budget Resolution. He joined Spartz and Massie.

Treasury Sec Scott Bessent has been called into a meeting with President Trump and may not make the meeting with @RepublicanStudy Republicans, per RSC Chair Pfluger. The Deputy Secretary will be at the meeting instead. Discussions on tariffs and the budget resolution expected.

Another undecided on the Senate budget resolution — @RepMarkHarrisNC says he’s “still working through” the resolution. Vote is expected today.
