    MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Division of Police hosted its 10th annual “Bike-a-Palooza” Saturday at North Lake Park. The free, family-friendly event offered a variety of bike and safety themed activities, including bike ride with a copy, a bicycle safety rodeo, bike giveaway drawings, bike inspections and small repairs, a bounce house and complementary refreshments. The Mansfield Fire Department brought its “House of Hazards” to teach children about fire safety.

    LEXINGTON — Child endangerment charges against a Lexington High School teacher have been dropped, according to Mansfield Municipal Court records. Courtney James Steele, a health and physical education teacher, was charged with a misdemeanor in September. He allegedly required a student to do push-ups on a hot asphalt surface. Steele pleaded not guilty to one count of endangering children, according to court records.
