    MANSFIELD — Teachers at Mansfield City Schools will know their job assignments for next school year by May 1, according to district officials. Mansfield City Schools moved forward with a second reduction-in-force at its Tuesday night board meeting, eliminating an additional eight teaching positions and a school counselor job. The job cuts take effect Aug. 1 — the day after the end of the union’s contract year.

    LUCAS — An operating levy is up for renewal in the Lucas Local School district. Voters will decide whether or not to continue a five-year, six mill operating levy. The levy generates $961,000 annually and costs property owners approximately $210 for each $100,000 of property value. The levy was first approved by voters in May 2010, according to Lucas Supt. Brad Herman. School district residents renewed the levy in November 2014 and 2019.
