ARLINGTON, MASS. (WHDH) - It’s the end of an era for a beloved Arlington shop that will close for good at the end of March. “I knew it was time,” said Tom Furrier, who’s worked at ‘Cambridge Typewriter’ for 45-years. In 1990, Furrier bought the shop and moved to Arlington. Now, he says it’s time to retire. Looking back, Furrier says one of the things he’ll miss most is getting to spend time with his customers. “People just love coming into the shop,” said Furrier.

BOSTON (WHDH) - Sen. Ed Markey said he expects to see an “electrifying impact on the Democratic base” as Kamala Harris ramps up her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden on Sunday ended his bid for another term. Speaking with 7NEWS after Biden’s announcement, Markey first lauded the president and his accomplishments since he took office in 2020. “President Biden has helped save Democracy and our planet,” Markey said.

Vance, a first-term Ohio senator, first garnered widespread attention after he published his bestselling 2016 memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.” Vance won his way into the senate in 2021, transitioning from a sharp critic of Trump to an ally.

BOSTON (WHDH) - From TD Garden to the Hynes Convention Center an estimated one million people crowded the streets of Boston Friday to celebrate the NBA champion Celtics at their rolling rally duck boat parade. The party continued as the parade arrived in Copley Square, where crowds of fans stretched nearly as far as the eye could see. With confetti in the air, the crowd chanted “Joe!” as second-year Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla passed in a Boston Duck Tours duck.
