PASCO, Wash. — The Phi Theta Kappa student honor society at CBC is hosting its campaign to raise awareness about the serious issue of human trafficking. The three days of events begin with the human chain. “Ideally, what we're trying to do is represent the number of people that were trafficked last year in our region and in our region last year, the numbers are showing almost over 200,” said Terry Marie Fleischman, the Phi Theta Kappa advisor with CBC.

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — 2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Walla Walla and Columbia River Railroad. The Fort Walla Walla Museum is celebrating by sharing the story of one significant feature displayed outside of its building, which actually ran on that railway. In 1875, construction wrapped on the Walla Walla and Columbia River Railroad.

FRANKLIN CO., Wash. — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are looking for any sign of a stolen sign. It is the Juniper Dunes Wilderness Area sign, out in northern Franklin County. Juniper Dunes is Bureau of Land Management-owned land, a few miles north of Pasco. The sign was on the wilderness-side of the property. The Sheriff’s Office said theft and vandalism of government property is a crime, and can be costly.
