Utahns have been blocked from PornHub for two years now. The adult content website cut Utah off over a state law that requires visitors to verify their age. Louisiana was the first state to pass a law in 2022. After Gov. Spencer Cox signed Utah’s bill into law the next year, similar legislation popped up around the nation. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative organization, pushed for predominantly red states to pass these laws.

Utah’s law banning transgender girls from competing in school sports is back in court. A judge blocked the law from taking effect in 2022. Now, attorneys representing transgender students argue the state quit complying with the court’s injunction because of President Donald Trump’s February executive order that attempts to bar transgender girls from competing in school sports.

It’s been 100 days since President Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term. In those first few months, the 47th president sought to follow through on some of his largest campaign promises on the economy, immigration and government spending. According to a new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll, 42% of Americans approve of the president’s performance at the 100-day mark.

A repeal of the state’s ban on collective bargaining for public sector unions has the signatures it needs to land on the 2026 midterm ballot. After a 30-day campaign and submitting a massive amount of signatures, Utah labor groups have met the requirement, according to numbers from the Lt. Governor’s Office. But it’s not a done deal yet. Opponents of the referendum effort still have time to try to get voters to remove their names. If the numbers hold, the law would be on pause until voters weigh in.

Out of 582 bills passed this year, Gov. Spencer Cox vetoed six. At the time, he said he decided to sign two bills "with the understanding that we will have a special session to make modifications."And that time is drawing near. During his April news conference with reporters, the governor said he would call the Legislature together in May.

Since PornHub blocked Utah two years ago, 20 other states passed a similar law that spurred the adult content site's decision. But that's not all that has happened in the last 24 months. https://t.co/0yMAAAX6qW

Utah has been accused of violating a court ordered injunction by enforcing a ban on trans girls competing in school sports. The state argued they were just following an executive order issued by the Trump admin. https://t.co/6Fvh6XWNEL
