STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football's spring game is today. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Davis Wade Stadium on April 19. The game will not be televised. Details on the format are slim. The Bulldogs said the game will last one hour with "a standard scoring system." MSU is entering its second season under coach Jeff Lebby. It went 2-10 last season without a win in the SEC. STARKVILLE — Mississippi State basketball and coach Chris Jans have landed another player from the transfer portal. Achor Achor, a wing from Kansas State, committed to the Bulldogs on April 18, according to a report from On3. He's the third transfer to commit to MSU in two days. Achor transferred to Kansas State last season but left the program after nine games due to personal reasons, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal. Achor played two seasons at Samford after two seasons at Chipola College.

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State baseball relief pitcher Chase Hungate exited the April 18 game against Florida with an injury. The injury occurred when Hungate threw a pitch in the seventh inning at Dudy Noble Field. Play was stopped while he was evaluated by the MSU training staff. It's unclear what his exact injury is. The Bulldogs (23-14, 5-10 SEC) trailed the Gators 9-3 at the time after allowing seven runs in the sixth inning.
