Eugene Pride is moving its annual festival from Alton Baker Park to the Lane County Fairgrounds. There will be security, a clear bag policy and an afterparty, all of which are new to the event. Brooks McLain has been involved with Eugene Pride for 9 years, but this year will be different. "Pride is so much fun and good energy, everyone is smiling and full of love," McLain, the board president of Eugene Pride, said. "It is like being in a rainbow."The festival is trying out some bold new changes.

A 61-year-old man from Cottage Grove was arrested on June 19 for allegedly possessing sexually explicit images of children, according to the Cottage Grove Police Department. The man was arrested at his home at 12:30 p.m. June 19, police said. Police said the man was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation conducted by police with assistance from the Lane County Sheriff's Office and FBI. A search warrant had previously been executed at his house prior to his arrest, police said.
