Portland Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in Old Town and have closed Northwest Naito Parkway near the Steel Bridge. Portland officers responded to calls about shots fired around 7 a.m. and found an adult male dead in the street, the bureau said in a news release. The suspect left the scene and police did not make any immediate arrests, the news release said.

National Weather Service forecasters predict a chance of showers before 2 p.m. and likely rain with possible thunderstorms later in the afternoon. Dad woke up just before 5 a.m. and knew that something was wrong: The baby hadn’t woken him up at the usual time overnight.
