Ophelia Anne Barton (Iowa Amber Alert) An AMBER Alert was issued Tuesday evening and Iowa City police are asking the public for help finding a 15-year-old girl. According to the alert, which went out shortly after 7 p.m., police are looking for 15-year-old Ophelia Anne Barton, who is described as a white female, five feet tall, weighing 80 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

A 13-year-old was killed and an 11-year-old was injured in a UTV crash in rural Poweshiek County Friday evening. The crash happened at about 5:20 p.m. Friday when the 11-year-old driver of a Polaris Ranger Crew utility vehicle lost control while negotiating a curve, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol. The vehicle was traveling south on 230th Street, turning onto 450th Avenue southeast of the town of Guernsey. The vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side into the north ditch.
