ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Lehigh Valley officials say federal funding cuts could threaten energy efficiency programs and impact utility costs. Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk, state Reps. Josh Siegel and Mike Schlossberg and other leaders held a news conference Thursday morning in downtown Allentown. Officials say they are having to cut programs to hire and train more workers to weatherize homes, especially in Allentown. A lot of these homes are extremely old and not at all energy efficient.

They being the grape tree plants lining the Breinigsville winery. "So the rain now kind of helps the plants grow herbaceously, it helps it grow leaves, shoots, stuff like that," said Skrip.

April is National Donate Life Month. 69 News is partnering with the Gift of Life organization to share stories of organ donation in our community. Zach Mako loves hitting the D and L trail in the Lehigh Valley where he serves as the area's state representative.
