Police are investigating the blaze in Bransgore on Saturday evening, May 10. A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Our Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service partners made us aware of a fire at approximately 6am on Sunday 11 May. “The cause of the fire is currently being treated as suspicious and officers are investigating the full circumstances surrounding the incident, with enquiries ongoing.

The sunny and warm spell is set to continue into next week. According to the Met Office forecast, Monday will be cloudy with sunny intervals later in the day with a high of 18C. Residents were urged to close their windows and doors due to smoke in the area. The fire occurred near the village Scout hut. People were urged to avoid the area around Burley Road.
