    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Scattered showers are spread across Ohio and West Virginia as a low pressure continues to move past to our north. The cold front associated with the system slowed down which is why temperatures managed to climb to the mid 80s today, though it is working its way through the area this evening. Overnight the showers will taper off behind the cold front as temperatures fall to the mid 60s.

    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Following a hot and sunny first half of the day, storms are starting to pop up. These storms are ahead of a cold front that will move through bringing cooler air into the valley. There is a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather with some storms possibly producing damaging winds with gusts around 60 mph and hail possibly around an inch in diameter. The initial front is expected to move through overnight which will allow temperatures to fall to about 65 degrees.

    LAWRENCE TWP., Ohio (WTAP) - Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) received a call at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday for a single-vehicle crash on State Route 26 near milepost nine in Lawrence Township, according to OSHP Sgt. Payne. Stephen Fisher, 63, from Illinois was negotiating a left turn on a motorcycle while traveling north when his motorcycle overturned, according to OSHP Sgt. Payne.

    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Crews responded to a crash between a semi and a bus on Ohio Avenue at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to Parkersburg Police Lt. Depue. An Easy Rider Bus was traveling south on Ohio Ave. when a semi ran a red light coming off of the Memorial Bridge and hit the bus, according to Lt. Depue. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Ohio Avenue was shut down briefly but everything has since opened up.
