SAN ANTONIO — Teaching at a Military school has its own unique challenge. Not only are many of the kids starting a new school, but they're learning Texas all together. Most come from other states and other parts of the world. But a Fort Sam Houston ISD teacher has found the perfect way to bring them up to speed quickly. KENS 5 Anchor Sarah Forgany takes us to Robert G. Cole High School where they surprised Stacy Bishop with the KENS 5 EXCEL Award and a $2,000 check from Credit Human.

SAN ANTONIO — When you hear of all what Richard Perez does for his students, it all adds up. Combining his skills at teaching math and science, plus his talents for being an exemplary coach and leader, It's easy to see why Perez won the KENS 5 EXCEL Award for Edgewood ISD. The award which comes with a $2000 check from Credit Human aims to honor exceptional local educators like Perez. Perez has a long history at Perales STEAM Elementary where he now teaches. He practically grew up there.

She works day in and day out to ensure, they never fall through the cracks. Edgewood ISD nominated her for the KENS 5 EXCEL Award where we visited her classroom at so and so school and presented her with the award which includes $1,000 from partner Credit Human.
