PORTLAND, Ore. — The Northwest Interagency Coordination Center hosted Oregon's state wildfire briefing on Monday, updating Oregonians on the fire forecast for the summer - including concerns, new technology, and how multiple agencies are preparing. Oregon saw over 2,000 fires last year, Senator Jeff Merkley said during the briefing. Hundreds of thousands of acres burned. And while this season has been milder so far, the state agencies are being careful not to get complacent.
