Plans to dedicate a dirt pit site near the upper branches of Fowl River for construction garbage have been voluntarily withdrawn from consideration. The Mobile County Commission had been set to consider an application for the 62-acre Emerald Coast Landfill in Irvington during a meeting May 12. However, prior to the agenda being prepared for the hearing, TIGS Holdings LLC, owned by contractor Jeremy Hunt of J Hunt Enterprises, chose to discontinue its efforts, according to a notice by the county.
