Lagniappe
Lagniappe, which translates to "something extra," is a weekly alternative newspaper located in Mobile, Alabama. It initially launched as a bi-weekly publication on July 24, 2002, under the leadership of co-publishers Ashley Toland and Rob Holbert, who currently hold the positions of editor and managing editor. In April 2014, Lagniappe transitioned to a weekly format. Since 2004, the Mobile Press Club has recognized Lagniappe for its outstanding reporting and feature articles.

A Mobile man was shot and killed Monday morning outside a Wilmer home. A suspect is in custody and being charged with murder.
