OREANA — A 3-year-old boy drowned Saturday after he unlocked a sliding door and made his way to the pool at an Oreana home. Macon County Coroner Michael Burkham identified the boy as Kaseyn Clifton of Decatur. According to Macon County Sheriff’s Office news release, Kaseyn was at home with other siblings under the care of an aunt. His mother had left the residence for approximately 15 minutes to run errands.

DECATUR — Volunteers are needed to be ball runners for the upcoming Illinois Women’s Pro Tennis Championships in Decatur. A training session, for those ages 12 and up, will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the Fairview Tennis Center. Participants need to be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14-15.
