On any given day, Granite State Painters in Greenland is filled with action.The painting company started small when it was founded in 2012 by Matt Johnson."And so, I decided to start a painting company with my friend thinking we'd paint one house. That turned into us being booked up all summer long," Johnson said.The bookings never stopped. The company has grown to a year-round operation with up to a half-dozen crews working in the Seacoast every day. They paint inside and outside.

In many ways, Judy Varrill, of Concord, was a model of fitness. For years, being active was part of her daily routine. "I lifted weights four times a week," Varrill said. "I would be doing tennis four times a week. I was playing competitively."She and her husband enjoyed the outdoors in New Hampshire. "I took care of myself," she said. "I watched what I ate, tried to eat healthy as best I could."That's why what happened in April 2021 came as such a surprise. "I had no signs beforehand," she said.
