A newly released survey by Walton family-backed Heartland Forward showed that 56% of respondents in the nation's midsection said they have a low understanding of how to use artificial intelligence professionally. The poll, conducted for Heartland Forward by AI pioneering firm Aaru, also found that fewer than 1% of respondents felt highly proficient in using AI tools at work. About 2,000 people across 20 states responded to the survey.

Walmart Inc. has rented two Silicon Valley buildings to house its e-commerce division in what the landlord's brokerage said is the largest new office deal in the area since 2023. With a combined total of about 338,000 square feet, the buildings that Walmart is leasing in Sunnyvale's Tech Corners will take up more than a third of the office space on the 26-acre campus.

Flipkart's new lending license in India allows Walmart's majority-owned e-commerce platform to make loans to its customers and to marketplace sellers. Flipkart will provide loans through its fintech application super.money and directly through its own e-commerce platform. However, its new government license doesn't allow it to accept deposits. The super.money app will provide a suite of services, including instant pre-approved loans, credit cards, a credit card marketplace and personal loans.

Walmart has again partnered with Synchrony Financial to issue two credit cards that will be available this fall, the companies said. OnePay, a fintech firm that Walmart created in 2021 with its own venture firm Ribbit Capital, will offer the card program to Walmart customers through a mobile app. OnePay and Synchrony will introduce a general-purpose card that can be used anywhere that accepts Mastercard. They will also issue a private-label card that can only be used for purchases made at Walmart.
