LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Relatively quiet weather continues Wednesday. A field of fairly flat cumulus was in place over Lubbock, and beginning to spread over the entire region as of 4 p.m. KCBD(KCBD)While a short-lived isolated shower or two is possible across the northern portion of the viewing area through this evening, the chance is overall very low through tonight. Besides that, a cool and dry overnight period is expected area wide as weak northerly winds continue.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A few thunderstorms are developing on the Caprock later this afternoon and evening. KCBD(KCBD)The expectation is for at least a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms to form and move eastward across portions of the viewing area. The severe weather threat is low today, but if storms do develop, below severe winds and hail will be possible, in addition to brief downpours. Most of our areas are under thick cloud coverage and will continue to be through the night.
