    LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The rest of Tuesday evening will remain quiet, with southeast winds elevated around 15 mph. Winds will become lighter overnight as the pressure gradient weakens. With clear skies, overnight lows will be in the 40s to low 50s area-wide. KCBD(KCBD)The pressure gradient will tighten through the day tomorrow. This will allow for breezy conditions to return.

    LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - We had an afternoon of record-breaking heat on Sunday. 96° was the high temperature here in Lubbock, breaking the previous record was 91° set in 1932. KCBD(KCBD)A cold front will bring cooler temperatures on Monday. As of 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, the front was moving through the Oklahoma Panhandle. It is expected to move quickly through the viewing area after midnight, and it should be completely through our southern zones before sunrise.

Lows will be mild and near average for this time of year, in the 40s and a few low 50s off of the Caprock. KCBD(KCBD)Warm and dry conditions will continue through Wednesday. A weak, dry cold front will pass through the region in the late morning to early afternoon hours.

    LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Light rain as of 9 a.m. has already been recorded in northwestern areas, including Friona, as moisture has finally reached the surface. This rainfall persisted for Lubbock too, through most of the night into mid-morning Thursday. However, a lull in precipitation is anticipated during most of the daytime hours on Thursday. By mid-morning, a retreating dry line will place most of the region in a moist environment.
