The First Alert Weather Team has designated Tuesday as a First Alert Weather day due to advisory-level heat (105 degrees or greater) possible across portions of the South Plains Tuesday afternoon.

    LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The viewing area has remained quiet Thursday morning. Today was the first morning out of this work week that we did not begin the day with isolated showers in some part of the region. Winds have been light, coming from the south to southeast, at 5 mph or less. Dewpoints have been in the mid to upper 60s, causing a slight haze and an almost foggy start to the day, but this should dissipate by mid-morning.
