Le Gabrielle Crepes and Waffles in Monroe is hosting a one-woman art exhibition from now through June 10 featuring the work of Monroe Walton Center for the Arts artist Jessie Richey. This program is a joint venture between local restaurants and MWCA that will feature the work of local artists at local restaurants for a two-month period.

Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction. Dispute – Brookland Ct- In reference to subject having a mental episode due to not taking his medication. No crime was committed during this episode and mobile crisis responded to evaluate him.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday morning that Deputy Jake Monk, injured last week in a motorcycle crash, has died from his injuries. WCSO released the following statement on social media. “It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share that our Deputy, Jake Monk, has died from injuries in an off duty traffic accident. Deputy Monk was not only a fine deputy but an equally good soldier who served his country with honor.
