RIVERTON – After a full season of swimming, diving and scoring high there was only one meet left before the pivotal State Championships in Gillette next weekend for the girls of Riverton High School (RHS) and Lander Valley High School (LVHS). That meet, the Last Chance Meet, took place Thursday night at Riverton Aquatic Center and saw quite a few Lady Wolverines and Lady Tigers stamp their ticket in multiple events at the deadline.

ARAPAHOE – Wednesday morning, just two weeks after the Arapahoe Charter School unveiled their new $100,000 fitness center the local Falcons student-athletes have broken ground on their new Track and Field Complex that will hopefully host a bevy of athletics over the next generation.

DUBOIS – This season has been full of emotion for the Dubois Rams to say the least. There’s the future loss of Coach David Trembly in his final season, as well as the huge hole that will be left when his son Wyatt departs from the team after graduation. But, in between all the winning and the emotions of the 2023 season, there has also been some history made by a Rams’ player.

RIVERTON – After two straight 1-8 seasons for the Riverton Wolverines there was not supremely high expectations for new head coach Mark Lenhardt this season, but he was obviously not aware of that heading into the final game of the season against the Worland Warriors. The Wolverines held their own fate in their hands against Worland, with a win they would become 3A East Conference Champions for the first time since the 2012-13 season when they finished 7-3.

LANDER – Not much in Fremont County can compare to the feeling in a stadium or a fieldhouse while Lander Valley High School (LVHS) and Riverton High School (RHS) battle it out in whatever sport is in season, and on Tuesday that feeling was tight in the air at Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
