A Chester County nonprofit is asking for the community’s help to keep its doors open. Treetops Kitty Café in Kennett Square is dedicated to rescuing “misfit” cats - the seniors, the ones with medical needs, the scaredy-cat and the ones no one else wants. Philly Live recently took a trip to visit the special cafe and met a bunch of sweet kitties who were looking for "forever" homes. Since opening in 2017, the small nonprofit has saved over 850 cats but now Treetops is in trouble.

Thanksgiving is a celebration of community, love, and of course delicious food. One Philadelphia nonprofit is committed to making sure everyone gets a piece of the pie – literally. The Everywhere Project focuses on harm reduction and serving our neighbors, especially those who are unhoused or use drugs. Volunteers provide hot meals, Narcan, clothing, wound care, and other services to anyone who stops by at their outreach sites on Wednesday nights in LOVE Park and Saturday afternoons in Kensington.

The gym’s owner, Maleek Jackson, offers one-on-one training, group sessions, family training and even bridal bootcamps. While his boxers build muscle, they also build their confidence and self-esteem. Yet the gym offers much more than just a workout.
