Firefighters inspected the locations and found them to be safe, according to the Piqua Fire Department. The incident comes upon work during the gas main replacement project downtown that began Monday, March 31.

In Miami County, Gary Ngo, 31, of Dayton, is being held at the Miami County Jail on a failure to comply with signal of police officer charge, a third-degree felony.

Scott, 44, of Troy, was indicted on two felonies after a Mercer County grand jury handed up the decision on March 20 in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas. A warrant was then issued for his arrest.

It also concluded there was no evidence of criminal activity related to the origin of the fire. The early morning fire at the oldest structure in Troy largely gutted the building’s interior and damaged the log structure.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) Lt. Jeremy Allen, the semi that was hauling Coca-Cola products traveling southbound on I-75 experienced a mechanical issue at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13. The truck driver pulled over to the side of the highway at mile marker 79 and the semi’s engine caught fire.
