Philadelphia's only public university has a new leader. John Fry was officially installed as Temple University's 15th president in April. Fry joined Temple from Drexel University, where he served as the school's president for 14 years. He started at Temple in November 2024. His investiture ceremony was held on April 4, 2025. In an interview with NBC10, Fry talked about his bold vision for one of the city's anchor institutions.

Support is pouring in for a South Jersey man who was attacked while hanging out with friends at a bar earlier this year. The attack happened at the Raccoon Taproom, a popular brewery located along Powell Lane in Collingswood, on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, around 9 p.m. It was supposed to be a fun night out for 30-year-old Dan Walker, but it ended with him stabbed and left paralyzed.

The Smyrna High School student is earning college credits without having to leave high school and without having to pay. "This is a college class taken for free in high school. The owners of a New Jersey restaurant held a community celebration and are set to officially reopen their business more than a month after they were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). On Sunday, March 30, 2025, Emine and Celal Emanet held a celebration in Haddon Township, New Jersey, and served food to show their gratitude for their community's support and to also mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month. "We are a small business," Emine Emanet said.

The mayor of a town in South Jersey is being asked to resign after she was arrested arrested at her home on St. Patrick's Day after, police allege, she drove with her son in her car while under the influence of alcohol. At a Lumberton Township Committee meeting on Thursday, March 20, committee member Terrance Benson said he thinks Mayor Gina LaPlaca should step down. "My personal opinion is for the mayor to step down and to heal herself," Benson said.
