At 2:15am fire crews attended a house fire on Parkview Drive in Mawson Lakes, arriving to find the two-storey home ablaze. "I've never seen a house on fire like this before", a neighbour told ABC Roving Reporter, Troy Sincock. "There was only one person who used to live in that house, I hope he's safe".

Local residents have expressed concern as the local heritage place is the 1842 burial ground of Helen McGregor and two children.
