Capitalizing on a niche market focused on medical manufacturing companies, Hankin Group has announced a new lease in Exton. The firm’s Eagleview development has added Koko Medical, a startup specializing in postpartum hemorrhage intervention, to its tenant roster at 770 Pennsylvania Drive. The company will take up a 20K SF space in the near fully leased 63K SF development, Hankin CEO Bob Hankin told Bisnow.

With the nation's affordable housing crisis shaping up as a key election issue, a new Redfin report indicates that average swing-state renters earn 17% less than they need to comfortably afford the median rent in their respective states. But relief could be at hand after Wednesday's interest rate cut, which is expected to spur new supply, and just-released Census Bureau data suggesting rents could fall, thanks to a surge in new multifamily starts.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has signed an executive order directing state agencies to develop a housing action plan to increase affordable units in the commonwealth. The governor tasked two state agencies with devising a strategy to address preserving and adding new housing within a year, according to the Pennsylvania Capital-Star. The governor believes Pennsylvania is falling behind others in addressing the growing need, with nearly 60% of the state's housing stock built before 1970.
