ELKO, Nevada (ABC4) — Members of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the open house dates for two of its temples that are near completion. One temple is located in Elko, Nevada and the other in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Elko Nevada Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will begin to welcome visitors inside on August 30, with an open house running up until September 13, excluding Sundays.

Here is a breakdown of the Sunday sessions of the general conference:Prior to the morning session of the conference, the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square performed its weekly broadcasted show of Music and the Spoken Word. The weekly show has been running uninterrupted for almost 100 years.

The event draws in more than 100,000 Latter-day Saints to the Conference Center twice each year. The Church encourages people to use public transit due to the influx of people to the Temple Square area, especially amid ongoing renovations which are not expected to be completed until 2027.
