A tentative agreement has been made regarding the cost to pay school resource officers at Orange County Public Schools. Five municipalities and five local law enforcement agencies have been in a standoff with the district for months. That includes the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Winter Park, and the town of Windermere. OCPS announced on Wednesday the tentative agreement will keep officers on campuses through the 2026-27 school year.

The Osceola County mother accused of drowning her 14-year-old daughter in a bathtub was back in court Wednesday for a competency hearing. A judge found Kelsey Glover to be incompetent to stand trial on her own. Two doctors testified on her behalf, Dr. Katherine Oses and Dr. Leonard Skizynski.
