DENVER-It’s Friday, and you can expect sunny skies today, breezy conditions, and highs in the 70s! Winds will still be around, especially in the afternoon with some gusts out of the northwest, but they won’t be as strong as they were on Thursday. As we head into Saturday, we’re looking at a bit of an uptick in moisture, particularly across the northern part of the state. That means a better shot at some scattered afternoon and evening showers or maybe a brief thunderstorm.

DENVER-Windy conditions are expected this morning, especially for the foothills. Winds will gradually ease up through the morning, but breezy conditions will continue into the afternoon with gusts up to 25 mph in spots, especially across the plains. Afternoon highs will remain cool, around 70 degrees for the Denver metro area. Friday will be calmer and more stable overall. Winds will be lighter compared to Thursday, though it may still be breezy in the afternoon.

DENVER - On Sunday, things start to get a little more active. In the afternoon, some scattered showers and maybe a few thunderstorms could pop up, mostly over the mountains and foothills. These won’t be super strong or widespread, but if you're up in the hills, don’t be surprised by a quick downpour or rumble of thunder. It’ll still feel like spring, though, with temperatures in the 70s in most places. Monday is when the big spring storm moves in.

DENVER- Happy Friday! If you’re just stepping out this morning, you might notice it feels more like winter than mid-April. A band of snow moved in overnight and has been dropping steady flakes across parts of the I-25 corridor — especially from Denver up to Fort Collins. Not everyone is seeing heavy snow, but where that band sets up, roads could be slick and visibility might be reduced. The timing’s not great either, since it’s lining up with the morning commute.

DENVER- Heads up! Big weather changes expected today. We'll be hit with some strong winds as a cold front moves in, and it’s gonna feel like we’re flipping the weather switch. Gusts could be pretty strong, especially south of Denver, with wind speeds hitting 40–45 mph at times. Temps will take a nosedive later this afternoon too —so we'll start the day in the 60s and end it in the 40s. So yeah, grab a jacket before you leave this morning. The other big thing today? Fire danger.
