Young BBC TV viewers are being treated to some proper sounds of Suffolk thanks to the work of a puppeteer and actor from Haverhill. Tincy is a character voiced and operated by Laura Bacon that is now part of a new CBeebies show, Playtime Towers, produced for the channel by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions. Despite an appliance attending from each station, the one from Clare was stood down when the Haverhill crew arrived on scene.

One arrest was made, more than 50 vehicles stopped and over 50 Traffic Offence Reports (TRO) issued during a multi-agency day of action in Haverhill last week. The operation on Tuesday, June 17, was aimed at disrupting and frustrating the activities of criminals, including organised crime groups, who commit offences across county borders whilst using the road network.
