AUBURN — The new Donald M. Gay Performing Arts Center at Edward Little High School will host the Maine State Music Theatre‘s first ever satellite concert series this fall. The series will include three epic tribute shows featuring the music of Jerry Lee Lewis on Sept. 6-7, Elvis Presley on Sept. 20-21 and Buddy Holly on Oct. 4-5.

A restructuring of the Police Department, which will include three management positions at the top, has outraged some residents, who are balking at the 25% budget increase for policing.

BUCKFIELD — The dilemma for voters at June’s town meeting: Accept a real estate gift or give it to an infamous motorcycle club. Six articles on the warrant ballot for June 10 ask voters to accept the property at 150 Depot St. and funds for scholarships from the estate of James Jordan. If residents vote to not accept the gifts, the land will be given to the nearest chapter of the Hells Angels.

NORWAY — A property along the Crooked River that can be rented through Airbnb may violate several town ordinances, a neighbor and his attorney told the Select Board last week. “The things he has done to that property is shameful. I can’t believe anyone would let him do that,” said John Morrison, a neighbor to the rental property at 33 Old Pulp Mill Lane.
