Summer Food provides free meals, seven days a week, to children who are 18 and under in multiple locations around the La Crosse area. The department says, in the past, fireworks that were set off illegally have had negative impacts on members of the community, including those with PTSD, autism or dementia.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – After a months-long investigation, the Eau Claire Police Department has arrested 54-year-old James Barbey and 82-year-old Robert Karstensen. The two Eau Claire men are now facing several charges for sexual assault against children. Officials say multiple victims came forward with information, and interviews by detectives identified additional victims.
