Taking Sheffield United to Wembley is something manager Chris Wilder says he wants "more than anything I've ever wanted in my life professionally" – and he is desperate to bring their supporters on the journey. If the Blades can defend a 3-0 first-leg lead at home to Bristol City on Monday, they will be facing Sunderland or Coventry City in the Championship play-off final on May 24.

Chris Wilder has revealed that Ben Brereton Diaz, Jesurun Rak-Saki and Femi Seriki will all be involved in Monday's Championship play-off semi-final second leg, having missed the first leg through injuries. The Blades manager said all three could have played in the Ashton gate game, which the visitors won 3-0, but he erred on the side of caution. "We made a decision on Femi and Ben Brereton Diaz on Thursday night and we're delighted to say both of them will be involved on Monday night," he said.

If you take away Callum O'Hare's brilliantly improvised goal, there was not much too fancy about Sheffield United's 3-0 win at Bristol City. Conor Horihane says Barnsley's off-season is "too long" so he will call his players back to Oakwell for work during their summer break. Had the Reds' season gone as planned, it could have extended into the League One play-off final at the end of May but the game at Reading on May 4 was their last competitive match until the new campaign begins on the first weekend in August. Pre-season will training will resume in late June, but Hourihane wants to see players face-to-face for testing before them.
